Cabin (1005 sq. ft.) in Crescent, OR
12.8 miles from Waldo Lake
Crescent Lake Cabin is a secluded, private cabin on Crescent Creek near the town of Crescent Lake Junction in Oregon. It is the ideal location for a secluded, relaxing, natural getaway, with activities the whole year round. A recent entry in the cabin guest book says, 'What a wonderful spot by the creek! We started the weekend with ambitions of hikes and canoeing on lakes and then soon realized that the best thing was staying by the cabin, walking through the woods, splashing in the creek, playing with inner tubes, playing fetch with our dog, enjoying the wood stove and treasuring each other's company.' If you do have ambitions of hikes, canoeing, mountain biking, or exploring in general, there is plenty to do: At Crescent Lake Cabin, you can: * Fish from our dock * Swim in either of two swimming holes * Float down the creek * Enjoy your morning coffee with your feet in the creek * Cross-country ski or snowmobile from our front door (winter only!) We are also: * 5 minutes from fishing and water skiing on Crescent Lake * 5 minutes from Odell Lake for more fishing * Near world-class mountain biking * Near the Pacific Crest Trail and other trailheads * I can provide you with hiking and mountain biking trail guides * 10 minutes from Willamette Pass Ski Area * 60 miles from Crater Lake and Diamond Lake * 1 mile from Crescent Lake Junction, with gas, a convenience store, a burger restaurant, and a tavern Also, people often ask if there will be snow, and my best response is that I can't predict the weather! The trend is that from November through March, there is a good chance of snow, but it is not guaranteed. In 2014-2015, there was little snow. This winter, 2015-16, has plenty of snow. Also, when there is snow, travel is more difficult, and it is necessary to use the wood stove to keep warm. If this sounds like a fun adventure to you, I encourage you to stay in the winter! You can stream Netflix, browse websites, check email, and more, but excessive downloading or using many devices at once may be slow. Weather can also have an impact on internet speeds. We have a snowplow service in the Diamond Peaks development as well as for the house. That said, we still advise that our guests use 4wd / awd vehicles and also come prepared with chains on tires in colder months. If you do not have the proper car, or feel uncomfortable at the bottom of the driveway, park on the street. It is a 1 minute walk up to the house. Other notes. *Up to 2 pets are allowed. Please be respectful, and take care of any messes. *Firewood is included with your rental. *We get snow in the winter, and the driveway is steep as the Diamond Peaks development is built on a hillside. **THE LOCATION** Crescent Lake is Oregon's hidden gem! There are 4 lakes, countless mountain hikes, a ski resort, and a few lake resorts all within less than 30 minutes away. You could live here for years and not explore everything this area has to offer. When you’re ready to head outside and explore, check out our binder at the property for a few ideas for hikes, trail-riding, boating, or swimming in the summer and downhill skiing / snowboarding, snowshoeing / x-country skiing, snowmobile trails in the winter. The north entrance to Crater Lake is about an hour away in summer. We love going there for a quick day trip to see the gorgeous views! If it’s winter time, Crater Lake can be accessed via the South and West entrances year-round. Here are just a few things to check-out around the cabin. * Crescent Lake: 10 minutes * Odell Lake: 10 minutes * Crater Lake National Park: 55 minutes * Diamond Peak South Trailhead: 30 minutes * Salt Creek Falls Trailhead: 15 minutes * Pacific Coast Trailhead at Willamette Pass: 15 minutes * Willamette Pass Ski Resort: 15 minutes * Mt Bachelor Ski Resort: 65 minutes *Crescent Lake Resort: 10 minutes *Odell Lake Resort: 10 minutes * Shelter Cove Resort: 15 minutes * Lava River Cave and Lava Lands Visitor Center: 55 minutes * Obsidian Lava Flow at Newberry National Volcanic Monument: 75 minutes * McCredie Hot Springs: 34 minutes * Diamond Lake Resort: 55 minutes * Bend, Oregon: 65 minutes

We have maintained those high standards and started new practices such as wiping down doorknobs, thermostats and the like. We continue to supply guests with cleaning supplies and soaps of all kinds in the kitchen and bathrooms. If you have any other questions about our response to the COVID situation then please reach out. The fully stocked kitchen with cookware and a BBQ just outside the kitchen can be used to cook your favorite meals. You can play music from your phone on our stereo and have it play inside and outside on the deck. The best way to relax from a day of activities is to stargaze from the hot tub. A fun, modern 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home in the heart of uptown Oakridge. Close to shops, restaurants, and the local brew pub; huge backyard for grillin' and chillin'; a 5-minute ride to mountain bike shuttle companies. Welcome to your Oakridge adventure! The Space Whether you’re in Oakridge for the killer mountain biking, the great fishing, the gorgeous hikes, the friendly people or all of the above, Jasper Lodge is the perfect place to call home at the end of a long day of play. This completely remodeled home has 3 stylishly furnished bedrooms with some of the most comfortable beds in the world (the master bedroom has a Tempurpedic mattress!), and 2 modern bathrooms. Spread out your map to plan your day’s adventure in the plush living room, cook up a storm in the well-stocked kitchen, or fill up your growler at the Brewers Union Local 180 (4 blocks away) and grill out on the patio. We have a secure garage with plenty of space for your fishing, boating, ORV and cycling gear, along with some basic bike tools for guest use. (Plus, the Willamette Mountain Mercantile is just a 5-minute bike ride away if you need repairs, gear, or a sweet mountain bike rental.) We also have a bike-washing station and laundry for you to use after those epic muddy rides. We love to cook, so you’ll find high-quality versions of everything you need: pots, pans, baking dishes, cookie sheets, hand mixer, plates, bowls, glassware and more. We also have growlers available for you to use. You’ll find all the essentials for a comfortable stay, including: - wifi - washer & dryer - kitchen stocked w/ new appliances - fire pit & barbecue - shampoo/conditioner/soap - hair dryer - towels & bedding - local trail maps and guides - AC unit in living room and master bedroom - fans for all bedrooms Guest Access Please make yourself at home! Our whole house is available to you during your stay. We’ll make sure you have directions and codes to the front door keypad and Wifi, and are available to answer any questions you have throughout your stay. There’s off-street parking for multiple cars. Interaction with Guests We’re available by phone or email to answer any question you may have – whether it’s about the place, recommendations for dinner, or advice on local recreation. We’ve also put together a comprehensive guide book to answer the most common questions and help you make the most of your stay. The Neighborhood You’re totally going to love Oakridge. It’s an old logging town that’s been revitalized over the past few years by outdoor tourism, and as a result you’ll find a pleasant blend of small-town charm and city-style amenities. For example, Ray’s Food Place (2-minute drive) has both the classic sidewalk summer grill tent, and also kombucha on tap. Our home’s location is phenomenal. It's less than a 10-minute bike ride to both the mountain bike shuttle companies, and an easy ride back from the terminus of most of the popular local trails. The bike shop (Willamette Mountain Mercantile), groceries (Ray’s) and super-delicious dinner and beer (Brewers Union Local 180) are all close by, and the restaurants and shops of downtown Oakridge are a 5-minute drive away. We’re in a quiet neighborhood with lovely neighbors, so you can expect friendly waves and kids biking down the street. One note: Oakridge is on a train route, so you’ll hear a few trains go by throughout the day and night. We’ve found that if we keep a fan running in the master bedroom it doesn’t bother us personally, and in the two other bedrooms guests don’t seem to notice the trains at all. We do have a stash of earplugs available, though! Getting Around It’s easy to bike around town, and there’s a daily public bus to and from Eugene. We have plenty of parking available, too.
Amazing views - Steps from Brew Pub.

Oakridge is a great pit stop for travelers before venturing over Willamette Pass. There are an abundance of hiking trails, places to mountain bike, fishing holes, lakes, the river, and more! Oakridge, along with it's neighboring city of Westfir are the only cities in Oregon completely surrounded by National Forest! Big Mountain pizza plays all of the big games on their TVs!
